Project Oversight

MPRLP is implemented by the Madhya Pradesh Society for Rural Livelihoods Promotion, a registered society under the Madhya Pradesh Society Act. The Chairperson of the Society is the Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development. An Executive Committee of the Society, under the Principal Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development, oversees the project

Project Management and Monitoring

The State Project Management Unit (SPMU), led by the Project Coordinator, is responsible for implementing and monitoring MPRLP. The SPMU facilitates horizontal and vertical links, and coordinates the MPRLP at the state level.

The Steering Group of the State Learning Forum sets strategic directions and develops the work programme. The Project Coordinator is the Secretary of the Steering Group.

Project Coordination

District project management committees (DPMCs) , chaired by district collectors, coordinate departments and agencies at district level. CEO of Zila Panchayat, district project coordinators, and district project support units (DPSUs) implement MPRLP. Multi-disciplinary project facilitation teams (PFTs) support village committees, community groups and livelihood promoters. At the village level, Gram Vikas Samiti and other committees of Gram Sabha organise and carry out MPRLP activities.
